מצלמת ה 1080X מבית Motic נוצרה בכדי להקל על השימוש במכשיר המיקרוסקופ תוך האפשרות לקבל תמונה באופן מהיר באיכות של 1920×1080 פיקסלים ברמת full HD.
בשונה ממצלמות אחרות, ה-Moticam 1080X איננה דורשת מחשב. פשוט ניתן לחבר את המצלמה על ידי ה-HDMI ולהציג את התמונות באמצעות התוכנה המובנית על ידי USB דרך צג המחובר בHDMI.
באמצעות כרטיס SD שניתן להכניס למצלמה, לא רק ששמירת התמונות אינה דורשת מחשב, אלא שהיא גם מאפשרת גמישות לשמירת נתונים ניידים והצגתם בשלב מאוחר יותר.
